Mt Hood and the Blooming Fruit Orchards

Card Caption:

Pear trees in the Upper Hood River Valley burst into full blossom each April, while deep winter snow blankets the north face of Mount Hood.  At 11,240 ft (3,426 m), Mount Hood is Oregon’s highest peak and most recently active volcano.  It last erupted a little over 200 years ago.

Beginning in the Middle

I am beginning in the middle —

This is the beginning of my new association with Postcrossing – a postcard exchange site.

It is hardly the beginning of my letter writing and postcard sending.

As life goes by, the only person I send and receive letters from now is my Aunt.

This is the beginning of a new association with writers of postcards and mail.
