Campbell’s Covered Bridge

Campbell’s Covered Bridge

Greenville County, near Gowensville, South Carolina

Last remaining covered bridge in South Carolina, built in 1909 located near Hwy 14 off Pleasant Hill Road Greenville County, SC.  Layfayette Campbell had this bridge built so farmers could easily bring corn to his mill in all kinds of weather.  This bridge is now owned and site maintained by the Greenville County Parks and Recreation Department.

Wonderful covered bridge card from a Postcrossing pal.
