A symphony of concrete and steel, the magnificent Mackinac Bridge harmonizes beautifully with its jewel-like setting.  The still waters of the Straits of Mackinac capture and reflect the myriad colors of the bridge lights.  The longest suspension bridge in the world, it provides fast access between teh Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan.

Lake of the Clouds is a pristine lake located high above Lake Superior in Michigan’s Porcupine Mountains State Park.  It is pictured just before sunrise as a misty cloud rises from the surface.

This unique quilt creation showing all of the Michigan counties was designed, places and pieced and quilted by Marion Welsh to commemorate 1987 Michigan Sesquicentennial.  It is on display in the Michigan Forest Visitor Center, Hartwick Pines State Park at Grayling, Michigan.
