Twin Tower Ruin
Hovenweep National Monument, Utah, National Park Service
Pueblo III, AD 1100 – AD 1300.  These towers and other structures at Hovenweep were built by Ancestral Puebloans between AD 1200-1300.  The reason for such a great concentration of towers and their use remains a mystery.  Hovenweep may have supported 2,500 people who cultivated corn, beans and squash using dry farming techniques still in use among the Hope today.  Please preserve and protect sites for future generations by visiting with respect.
