 Meganom (Meganomskiy, Mys Meganom)1895. Active; focal plane 99 m (325 ft); three white flashes every 15 s. 12.5 m (41 ft) octagonal masonry tower with lantern and gallery, painted white. A photo is at right, ULA’s page has two photos, Wikimedia has a closeup photo, another closeup photo and a distant view from the sea are available, and Google has a distant satellite view of the site. The lighthouse damaged during World War II and repaired after the war. Cape Meganom is a very prominent cape on the southeast coast of Crimea; it is well known as the site of an astronomical observatory and important archaeological sites.
