Birthplace of Sacajawea – Idaho

Sacajawea, interpreter for the Lewis and Clark expedition was born in Idaho near this view of Lembi Pass.  When the expedition crossed the continental divide here they left territory covered by the Louisiana Purchase and entered what would become Idaho.  This statue of Sacajawea is in the town of Salmon.

This is the first Postcrossing card I have received!!!!  – I received it 3 August 2011.
