Sequoyah, inventor of the Cherokee written language and Oklahoma hero, built this log cabin in 1829 — Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1966, the site features a statue that memorializes hi, and items that he once owned, including this spinning wheel he built in his blacksmith shop.
