Cascade Head – Oregon

 

Cascade Head

Cascade Head protrudes three miles in to the Pacific Ocean and has a summit of 1,500 feet and sheer walls that plummet 500 vertical feet to the waters below.  The cliff is covered with tangled forests of Sitka spruce hundreds of years old.

Haystack Rock is the tallest free standing rock in the upper left in the far distance.

Yaquina Bay Bridge at Sunset

The main arch of the Yaquina Bridge reflects in the water of the Newport Marina at South Beach.  The bridge, standing 245 feet at its highest point, was completed in 1936 and spans 3,260 feet
